Tenant verification, done right

Consent-first checks with traffic-light results for owners — never a raw report that exposes the tenant's private data.

Rental decisions in India often hinge on gut feel and photocopied documents. MySondham offers something better: structured tenant verification that respects the tenant's privacy while giving owners real signal. This is not a background check you sneak past someone — it is a consent-first product built for DPDP-era India.

Nothing runs without consent. When an owner requests verification on an active rental deal, the tenant receives a clear request and must confirm via OTP before any check begins. No consent entry in our ledger means no data processing — full stop. Tenants can decline; the deal continues, but the owner knows verification was not completed.

Available checks include Aadhaar and PAN validation, court record screening, and employment verification where applicable. We integrate with established KYC providers (AuthBridge primary, IDfy fallback) and retain reports only as long policy allows — then purge per our 90-day rules for verification artefacts.

Here is the differentiator owners care about: you never see the raw report. After checks complete, the owner dashboard shows a single traffic-light outcome — Green, Amber, or Red — with a short plain-language summary. Tenants are not humiliated by having their entire financial history forwarded to a stranger; owners are not left guessing. Amber might mean a minor flag worth discussing; Red means proceed with extreme caution or walk away.

Verification is optional per deal, initiated by the owner, and designed for rentals where both sides want confidence without surveillance. If you are a tenant, you control whether to participate. If you are an owner, you get defensible signal without becoming a data broker yourself. That balance is why we built it this way — and we are confident it is the right model for Tamil Nadu's rental market.
